Consortium at ELI for X-ray spectroscopy (CELIXS) has been established at the Visegrad Kick-off online meeting in October 2020. The main aim of the Consortium is consolidation of the development of X-ray spectroscopy at ELI-Beamlines facility (Dolní Břežany, CZ) and an increase of X-ray spectroscopy project traction with the wider scientific community, in particular the involvement of specialists in complementary optical spectroscopy methods. In the long term the involvement of optical spectroscopy researchers in the ongoing X-ray spectroscopy collaboration will help form new ideas and scientific questions and it is expected that this Consortium will have a central role in guiding the development and upgrades of both X-ray and optical spectroscopy stations for user operations and the development of open access for third parties to unique experimental capabilities.
