Femtosecond Raman Spectroscopy experimental campaign

A remote experimental campaign was organized within the Visegrad international collaborative project 2020-2021. Prof. J. Sa (Uppsala University, Sweden) was the PI of the experiment. The samples, thin films of metal oxides on Au, were sent to ELI-beamlines in advance, and few online meetings were organized in order to discuss experimental conditions, e.g., excitation wavelength, time resolution and delays, laser intensity etc. as well as to consider acquired data during and at the end of the experimental run. The central scientific question was observation and resolution of gold-plasmon hot-carrier dynamics with sub-100 fs time resolution. The data acquired in the experimental run are being analyzed.
